Family Fun Day 2011

July 10 2011

The "Family Fund Day" in 2011 was held on Sunday 10th. July and was hosted by Peter Webb at Castle Keep Lodge. Peter Webb has been organising events that have brought fun and funds into the Charity and this day lived up to everyone's expectations.

Participants were sustained by the Hog Roast which provided the main energy source for those who participated in the more strenuous activities. However, after their exercise, Peter's daughter had provided an ample supply of cakes alongside those prepared by committee members. Appetites were sufficient to encourage food sales that provided a welcome income to the charity.

Energy was expended on bouncy castles, sumo wrestling and duck racing. It's not too clear whether the ducks ate any cakes to keep them going. The more adventurous could participate in showing how good (or bad) they were at surfing on a surfing simulator, although no lifeguards were present! After exhaustion set in a Fair Ground Organ played music to aid recovery.

It is a great pity that next year's Family Fun Day will be rained off due to the heavy rainfall we will have in 2012 from April onwards. If you would like the weather forecast for any future years then a large donation should be sent to the Charity.

Remember this site was opened in December 2012 :-)

Donation(s) received at this event £2040.00
